Show Review By Sara Alper Hello, I’m Sara, and I as at the show in Madison. I
mostly went to the show to see my brother; I’m not the biggest emo
fan. Well the first band, Koufax…hmm was okay. The lead singer was
really stuck on talking about the Saturday night party…. But that’s
okay. Then a band I had never heard of came on, Appleseed Cast. Well.
Needless to say they rocked. I would give a list of the songs they played
but that was the first time I heard of them. I recall sitting in the blue
chairs, talking to my brother, bored, then hearing this awesome song.
So I looked up and saw this blond guy drinking a beer, but no mic, then
I realized that the lead singer was to the left. Luckily I realized how
rad the band was during the first song, so I paid attention, I don’t
even know how long their set was, it was great though, extremely tranquil.
Right after the show – well I had a cigarette - but then went and
bought a green shirt, oh it rocks, and the cds. And the blond guy, marc
was there and he signed a few peoples cd books, but he left before I could
get mine, I was sad, but got over it. Anyway, the show rocked the
block - they are definitely the koolest kats in the ally. Then the Get
Up Kids came on.. everyone went insane. I’m not a big GUK fan, though
I’ll give the bass player credit, he rocks. After the show I set
out for my long drive home to Milwaukee, listening to Appleseed Cast the
whole way home. I’m just kind of sad I didn’t get to meet them.
But I’m okay. At least I went to the show.
